Georgia Wolfe Ziegler

Georgia Wolfe Ziegler was born August 21, 1931, in Fort Worth, Texas. She died Tuesday, February 27, 2018, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. Georgia completed her secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Tulsa Will Rogers High School. She spent much of her working life as the administrator at Collinsville Memorial Hospital in Collinsville, Oklahoma. She volunteered her time helping families through Meals on Wheels as well as The Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including traveling, playing Bunco with friends, and spending time reading. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren and all their sporting events. Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include: Her children; Kathi Abel and husband Ronnie, of Collinsville Joe Wolfe and wife Kris, of Owasso Susanne Ziegler and husband Kurt Bittner, of Bridgetown, New Jersey Kate Ziegler and husband James Grim, of Verdigris, Oklahoma John Ziegler, of Tulsa Grandchildren; Melanie Colt and husband Jason, of Owasso Brannon Wolfe and wife Jenny, of Owasso Dwayne Abel, of Collinsville Kim Reamy, of Collinsville Frankie Abel, of Tulsa Amanda Douglas and husband Corey, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma Maggie Maraschino and husband Cliff, of Los Angeles, California Beth Medford and husband Tom, of Owasso William Ziegler, of Glenpool, Oklahoma 14 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dale B. Wolfe, her second husband, Bill Ziegler, and a brother, Jon Collins. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 2, 2018, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso with Fred Keas officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Austen Colt, Bryce Colt, Cody Wolfe, Cooper Wolfe, Kaleb Abel, and Parker Reamy. Committal service and interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Owasso.
