Tyler Kinion

James "Tyler" Kinion was born on February 2, 1986, to Charles "Chuck" Melvin Kinion and Cathi Diann (Bucy) Edwards. Tyler passed from this life on Sunday, October 22, 2023, in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 37 years. Tyler was raised and educated in Oologah, Oklahoma and graduated with the Oologah High School Class of 2004. While attending Oologah schools he participated in Wrestling, Football and Track. Tyler continued his secondary education at OSU-IT in Okmulgee, Oklahoma where he earned an associates degree in applied science in the HVAC program. Tyler was a hard worker and he loved figuring out how to fix things no one else could. He was very proud of the fact that at 10 years of age he assembled his baby brother's baby bed. He was always the kid that would take things apart to see how they worked and then would put it back together correctly. If for some reason, he couldn't fix it or put it back together he would just say "Dakotah did it". He worked for Texoma Tractors for many years and other companies throughout the area since he entered the workforce. Tyler loved to golf, deer hunt, watching sports of any kind particularly Boston Red Sox baseball and the Green Bay Packers, and he was an avid OSU fan (even when they suck). Tyler loved food and trying out new restaurants. Tyler developed his love of food from his Grand. Those two loved to watch cooking shows and read cooking magazines- then Grand and Tyler would convince his mom and or his Nana to make whatever it was they found. As a child, Tyler had traveled to almost every state in the continental U.S. with his Grand delivering shipments for the family's Mayflower moving agency. They even planned certain routes to their destination so they could visit a certain restaurant they had heard about. Tyler was always up for a good time with family and friends and his unique witty sense of humor will be missed. He is survived by his children, Noah Miles Kinion, Ella Katie Kinion and Colton Tyler; his mother Cathi Bucy Edwards; "dad" Jeff Edwards; brothers, Dakotah Kyle Edwards of Talala, Oklahoma, Daulton J Edwards and wife Maleigh of Claremore, Oklahoma and Kane Kinion and wife Alicia of Apache, Oklahoma; aunts Christi (Aunt Ti) Littlebear of Pryor, Oklahoma, Cindy Decoster of Yarmouth, Maine, Ginger Wilson and husband Darryl, and Patty Hugley and husband Darren all of Adair, Oklahoma; and a host of cousins. He was predeceased in death by his beloved Nana and Grand, Don and Sylvia Bucy; father Charles "Chuck" Kinion; grandfather James "Jimmy" Kinion; and his Papa Ed and Granny Betty Edwards.
