'OBITUARY Ã¢â‚¬â€œ ALLEN BRASWELL Allen Leroy Braswell, resident of Collinsville, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Allen was born November 18, 1939 at Warren, Arkansas to Leroy and Eloise (Willis) Braswell. He was raised and received his education in Warren. Following high school, Allen attended college at Batesville, Arkansas before moving to Tulsa in 1960. On March 16, 1961, he and Zelma Duncan were united in marriage. They made their home in Tulsa before moving to California, where they resided for three years. They then returned to Oklahoma and Allen was employed by Sun Oil Company as a truck driver, a position he maintained until retirement. He and Zelma were members of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tulsa. They enjoyed participating in various church activities. Allen also enjoyed being outdoors and working on and mowing his property. Those that survive include his wife Zelma of the home; an Aunt Dot Grosset of Portland, Maine; a cousin Helen Johns of Crossett, Arkansas; 3 sister-in-laws Nina Hedge of Tulsa, OK, Wanda Jinks and husband Eugene of Vinita, OK, Teresa Boyd and husband David of Colcord, OK; 3 brother-in-laws Ronald Duncan and wife Catherine of Colcord, OK, Jessie Duncan and partner Lorayne Wayt of Siloam Springs, AR and Bob Stone of Muskogee, OK. Allen was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law Wilmagene Stone, father and mother-in-law Marion and Nellie Duncan. Visitation for Allen will be held from 3pm Ã¢â‚¬â€œ 5pm on Sunday, April 23rd at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso, with Funeral services to be at 11:00 AM Monday, April 24th at St. Mary Catholic Church. Monsignor Dennis Dorney of St. Mary Catholic Church will officiate. Allen will be laid to rest in the Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Owasso.
