Athanie Leeviraphan

Athanie Leeviraphan was born on September 7, 1966, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Manoon and Rosalinda Matias Leeviraphan. He ascended to heaven on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Catoosa, Oklahoma, at the age of 58. Athanie completed his secondary education in Jenks, Oklahoma, graduating with the Jenks High School Class of 1984. He attended the University of Oklahoma from 1984 to 1987 before earning his bachelor’s degree in Advertising from Oklahoma State University. Athanie married Mary Christine Hirst, the love of his life, on February 7, 1998, at First Methodist Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They met while working together at Eskimo Joe’s in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where Athanie served as a restaurant manager for 10 years, forming lifelong friendships during his time there. He began his professional career as an entrepreneur, founding Adventures Outback, a playground equipment company, as well as Fiber Dynamics Inc. and Two Moms And a Mop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Later, he dedicated much of his career to fiber optic infrastructure, working as a construction manager. A man of deep faith, Athanie cherished his relationship with the Lord and was an active member of Victory Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, participating in numerous small devotional groups. He found great joy in attending the Walk to Emmaus, where he served and built a strong fellowship of friends. Each morning, he sent scripture-filled texts to encourage many men to stay steadfast in their faith and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Athanie enjoyed cooking, golfing, and, above all, spending time with his beloved family. He treasured his walks with Christine and every moment shared with his loved ones. A celebration of Athanie’s life will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 10am Victory Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with Lead Pastor Paul Daugherty and Founding Pastor Sharon Daugherty officiating. Grave side service to follow at Athanie’s final resting place the Illinois Chapel Cemetery in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Athanie’s memory to Victory Church c/o Thailand Missions and/or Illinois Chapel Church Prairie Grove, AR.
