Billie Ann Simpson

' Billie Ann (Miller) Simpson, age 87, of Collinsville, went to be with The Lord on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, in Tulsa. Billie was born February 9, 1927, to William E. and Donella Dee (Greenlee) Miller at Wynona, OK. She was raised in Wynona, Skiatook and later Seminole, OK, where she graduated high school in 1945. On July 5, 1946, Billie and Wayne Simpson were united in marriage in Ada, OK. To this union, two children were born. During their married life, Wayne and Billie lived in Odessa and Midland, Texas, returning to Oklahoma in 1951, making their home in Barnsdall. They moved to Collinsville in July of 1998. Billie was a member of the First Christian Church of Owasso and had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. During earlier years, she was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, and played and coached softball. Billie loved bowling, and had traveled to different bowling tournaments across the United States. She also enjoyed cooking, reading, but her priority was being a homemaker and mother. Those that survive and hold cherished memories are her husband of 68 years, Wayne; children: Diane Clem of Owasso and Duane Simpson and wife Kathy of Broken Arrow, OK; three grandchildren: Kevin Clem of Owasso, Alicia Collins and husband Matthew and their children Jali and Brock of Owasso, and Sheila Ellis and husband David and their children Kinsler and Sutton of Tulsa. Also surviving is a brother Robert Earl Miller and wife Margie of Oklahoma City, OK. Billie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Margaret Allen. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, December 1, 2014, in the sanctuary of the First Christian Church, Owasso with Pastor Ben Killion officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday in the Ethel Reece Cemetery, Barnsdall, OK. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. â€“ 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 30, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service.
