Carol Lynn Redden

Carol Lynn Redden, 77, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, passed away on March 10, 2025. She was born on March 27, 1947, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wilford Kalani Hoopiiaina and Doreen Mae Wilkinson Hoopiiaina. Carol married the love of her life, David Redden, on September 4, 1964, in Salt Lake City. Together, they operated their business, Hometown Drug, in Sweet Home, Oregon, where Carol worked alongside David and made lasting connections in the community. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carol’s unwavering faith in God, her Savior, and the eternal plan of happiness was evident to all who knew her. She was often referred to as the "Pineapple Princess" and felt very connected to her Hawaiian and Samoan ancestry. She had a passion for serving others. Carol’s creative gifts shone brightly as she used her artistic talents to design beautiful weddings and receptions and bring joy to those around her. An accomplished pianist, Carol’s love for music was deeply woven into the fabric of her life. Her heart was always open to others, and she found great fulfillment in helping and uplifting those she encountered. While she had many interests and hobbies, Carol's family was her greatest joy. She cherished her role as a mother, grandmother, and aunt, and her love for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews knew no bounds. Carol is survived by her beloved husband, David, and their family who will forever remember her kindness, faith, and love: Daughter; Natalie Redden Bird and husband David and their children Matilynn Bird, Caroline Bird Perez and husband Sergio, Malia Bird Gale and husband Jesse and son Steven, and Benjamin Bird Son; Matthew Redden and his children Vanessa Redden, Bentley Redden, Broderick Redden, and Mia Redden Daughter-in-law; Leah Black Redden Colsson and her children Alexis Redden and Olivia Redden. Sisters; Patricia Hoopiiaina Shaw and husband Mark Deborah Hoopiiaina Bailey and husband David Brother; Cory Hoopiiaina Mother; Doreene Wilkinson Hoopiiaina She was preceded in death by her father, Wilford Kalani Hoopiiaina, brother Curtis Wilford Hoopiiaina, and son, Daren Redden.
