Conrad "J.C." Rofkahr Jr.

J.C. Rofkahr was born May 19, 1932, in Clarkesville, Arkansas, to Conrad Rofkahr and Hester Bessie Brotherton Rofkahr. He died Friday, May 15, 2026, at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Claremore, Oklahoma, just four days shy of his 94th birthday. J.C. was reared and educated in Hartman, Arkansas, and was a graduate of Hartman High School. He continued his education attending Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Arkansas. J.C. was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Army during the Korean War. J.C. was married May 29, 1953, in Clarksville to Myrtle Kathryn Self. He worked several auto-body repair jobs before beginning a 35-year career with Fred Jones Ford in Tulsa. J.C. had a dear fondness for anything that involved horses. He enjoyed a wide variety of sports and was the avid #1 fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks….Woo-Pig-Sooie!! J.C. dearly loved his family who hold a lifetime of cherished memories including: Son; Gary Rofkahr and wife Karen, of Owasso Daughter; Terri Cash and husband John, of Owasso Grandchildren; Heather Blake and husband Vince, of Owasso Derek Rowan and wife Carly, of Owasso Kayla Rowan, of Tulsa Christin Poplin, of Owasso Sarah Wehner and husband Chris, of Broken Arrow Hailey Avila and husband TJ, of Owasso Carie Morrison and husband Chris, of Nashville, Tennessee Chelsey Fulton and husband Brenan, of Owasso Christa Guest and husband Jeremy, of Owasso Dylan Rowan and wife Jenifer, of Tulsa 26 great grandchildren He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mert Rofkahr, parents, Conrad and Hester Rofkahr, siblings, Leo Rofkahr, Ilene Rofkahr, Reba Stenzel, Lucille Rofkahr, Troy Rofkahr, and Emalene England, granddaughter, Stephanie Rofkahr Dees, and grandson-in-law, Eric Poplin. Graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life service will be planned for a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in J.C.’s memory to Elk River Baptist Church, P.O. Box 833, Noel, Missouri, 64854.
