Dennis Wayne Kelsey

'Dennis Wayne Kelsey was born October 14, 1957, on the Fort Lewis Army base in Tacoma, Washington to Delbert C. Kelsey and Judy Mae (Spoonemoore) Kelsey. He passed from this life Thursday, December 28, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 60 years. Dennis was reared and educated in Owasso, Oklahoma and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1975. After high school he furthered his education at Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, where he earned his Airframe and Powerplant license. He was married October 16, 1975 in Vera, Oklahoma, to Robin L. (Jones) Kelsey. He spent most of his working life as a crew chief with American Airlines for over 25 years. Dennis has been a member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso since 1995. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as rebuilding classic cars and fishing in trout tournaments. Most of all Dennis loved his grandchildren and the time he spent with them, building tire towers and putting together firetruck Legos. He was a BBQ and chili champion to his family. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at the Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Scott Carlson and Reverend Kevin Laufer officiating. interment will follow at Ridgelawn cemetery in Collinsville. The family requests memorial donations be made in Dennis's memory to Shriner's Hospital for Children, Attention: Office of Development, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.'
