Freddie "Fred" Arthur Walker

Freddie (Fred) Arthur Walker was born on August 22, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Arthur Charles Walker and Betty Lou (Irish-Turner) Walker. He passed from this life on Monday, January 5, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 84 years. Fred grew up in the Tulsa area and graduated with the Berryhill High School Class of 1958. He proudly served in the US Army as a reservist for six years. Fred married Sandra Sue Fiehler and they gave life to two children (Tanya and Jeff) who then gave him many grandchildren and great-grandchildren which made him very proud. Fred’s career always revolved around sales and he was very successful at it. Whether it was Safeway, Warehouse Market, Milnot, Hillbilly BBQ or Award Foods, he was always in a management position because of his experience, knowledge, ability to build relationships and extremely strong work ethic. In Fred’s retirement years, he bought a small farm and raised Emu and trophy deer. Like his other endeavors, he was committed to excellence and his deer business flourished for many years. In addition to serving his country in the Army, Fred served his community in many ways throughout the years. Whether formally through his many years of involvement with the Tulsa Sertoma Club or informally through his acts of support and kindness to his family and friends, Fred’s kindness, compassion and concern for others was foremost in his mind. Fred was passionate about many things in addition to his family. He was a big sports fan who followed OU women’s softball, NASCAR and the OKC Thunder. He collected many things throughout the years but his Michael Jordan memorabilia and trading card collection was by far his favorite. Fred loved skiing in the Rocky Mountains, throwing memorable holiday parties for his family, putting together a huge jigsaw puzzle and enjoying a really good meal. His other greatest passion later in life was the fellowship, food and dominoes he shared with his friends at Asher Point in Bartlesville, the Claremore Senior Citizens Center and the Oologah Senior Citizens Club. He is survived by: Children; Jeff Walker and wife Diane Tanya Greathouse and husband Kevin Grandchildren; Nicole Sigmon Nick Sigmon and wife Princess Mitch Greathouse and wife Jade Lauren Tofpi and husband Tim Jacob Sigmon and wife Shirley Hunter Greathouse Rachel Marzullo and husband Zane Great Grandchildren; Cade, Cole, Victoria, Luke, Vince, Blake, and Millie He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Betty, sisters, Kay and Patty, and his granddaughter, Michelle.
