Glen Alan Miller

Glen Alan Miller, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home with family at his side in Claremore, Ok on February 17, 2025. He was born on December 23, 1941, in Peculiar, Missouri, to David and Mildred Miller. Raised on a farm alongside his brother Jerry, Glen developed the strong work ethic and unwavering faith that would define his life. During high school, Glen was a talented athlete and musician, playing basketball, running track, and playing the saxophone, guitar and piano. He graduated in 1959 and went on to attend Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO, for two years before beginning his professional journey. While working at Phillips Petroleum in Kansas City, Glen met the love of his life, Judith Humphreys. The two were married on June 15, 1963, and in 1964, they relocated to Bartlesville, OK, with Phillips Petroleum. Their family grew with the birth of their son, Kevin David, in 1965, and their daughter, Carol, in 1969. In 1971, Glen’s natural aptitude for problem-solving led him to a career shift when American Airlines recruited him as a computer programmer. The move proved to be a perfect fit. The family then settled in Owasso, OK. Glen remained dedicated to his work through the department’s transition to Sabre Group, staying with the same close-knit team until his retirement in 2010. Faith played a central role in Glen’s life. In 1980, he, Judy, and Kevin were baptized together after joining Bethel Baptist Church, where he became an active member. He joyfully participated in church ministries, including door-to-door witnessing, choir, Sunday school teaching, and even the church softball team. An enthusiastic student of scripture, Glen rarely missed an opportunity to attend Bible studies and services. In recent years, he was a devoted member of Fireside Baptist Church (formerly Bible Baptist Church), serving as the groundskeeper and treasurer. Glen never met a stranger. He had a rare gift for striking up conversations and making people laugh with his sharp sense of humor. In retirement, he cared for Judy until her passing in 2014 and found joy in repairing small engines, mentoring others in the craft, and building lasting friendships. Glen was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judy, and his son, Kevin. He is survived by his brother, Jerry Miller; daughter, Carol Miller, and son-in-law, Paul Miller; granddaughter Mary Goehler and her husband, Tyler; great-granddaughters Mabel and Eva; and grandsons Walker and Patrick as well as his loyal companion, Mary Callison. Glen’s kindness, humor, and faith-filled life leave a lasting impact on all who knew him. His family finds peace knowing he is now reunited with his Savior and loved ones.
