James "Brad" Bradley Harrell

Brad was born to James Alfred Harrell and Diana Sue Tomlinson on July 7, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He passed away on July 26, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Brad attended Elementary school at Kensler Elementary School, in Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Klein Forest High School in Houston, Texas in 1987. He attended Memphis State University in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism in 1992. Brad had an incredible work ethic. He was employed at American Life Insurance Company. He held various jobs throughout his career including a Radio/Club DJ, a trailer truck driver, and a salesman. He also worked as a Freelance Writer at Tulsa Today. During his younger years he was a part of the Navy ROTC. He enjoyed all types of music, playing trumpet like his dad, singing karaoke, writing and drawing. These hobbies led to lead vocals in his band Mag 7, and writing for Tulsa Today. He was an avid OU Sooners/Dallas Cowboys fan as well as a huge James Bond fan. Brad was preceded in death by his father Jim Harrell, step father, Larry Crowl, Grandparents, Alfred & Dorothy Harrell, Charles and Wanda Tomlinson, Kelsey and Nadine Crowl; and Uncle, Larry Tomlinson. Brad is survived by his daughter, Kayla Harrell-Harris, and spouse Samuel Harris, grandchildren, Adron and Aubree Burton, and first wife, Amanda Sprayberry. Also son, Jacob and daughter Emily Harrell; and second wife Christine McClary. He is also survived by his mother, Diana Hill and stepmother, Jennifer Harrell. Siblings, Adrienne Harin, and Mark Crowl. Niece and nephew, Jackson and Savannah Harbin. Cousins, Jeremy, Jefry, and Justin Tomlinson, and Britt DeTienne. Aunt Jayne Genter and Uncle Larry DeTienne. Aunt Janet Tomlinson. And his beloved dog, "Bella". Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2024, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with C.E. Spaulding officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Jeremy Tomlinson, Samuel Harris, David Rook, Lee Vanwoerden, John Elam, and Jerry Camp. Final resting place will be at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
