Mary Frances Pace

Mary Frances Pace was born September 5, 1947, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, to Herbert Leonard Goodell and Reba Catherine Hill Goodell. She entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 78 years. Mary spent most of her early school years in Barnsdall before moving to Sand Springs, Oklahoma, to finish her senior year of high school and graduated with the Charles Page High School Class of 1965. She continued her education at the Oklahoma School of Accounting, completing her degree in 1966. Mary was married April 7, 1966, in Barnsdall, Oklahoma, to Bennie Franklin Pace. They moved to Owasso, Oklahoma, in 1972, having made Owasso their home since that time. Mary began her professional career in accounting with Oxidental Petroleum, then with Fluor Daniel Petroleum. She later took a position with the University of Tulsa before working with her brother David Goodell at Ram Machine. Mary was a strong woman of faith. She and Bennie were faithful members of Bethel Baptist Church in Owasso. They were instrumental in the planting and beginning of Grace Baptist Church, now Redeemer Bible Church. It was during this time of Bennie’s passing on July 23, 2005. Mary’s faith never waivered as she continued to serve and trust in the Lord through and after that time. Mary enjoyed a variety of pastimes including spending time working in her garden. She also enjoyed spending time painting, and was exceptionally talented at writing inspirational poetry. Mary enjoyed her church family, fellowship, and reading the promises of God’s Word. She dearly loved her family and time spent with her children and grandchildren. Mary was especially fond of her role as “Grammy”. Those she leaves behind who hold a lifetime of cherished memories include; Children; Julie Paul and husband Jeff Benjie Pace III and wife Michelle Grandchildren; Griffin Paul, Alexandra Paul, Jesse Paul, Hudson Pace, Harrison Pace, Jules Patrick Paul Sister; Suzzane Miller and husband Larry Brothers; Michael Goodell and wife Donna David Goodell and wife Pam Mother; Reba Goodell And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie Pace, father, Herbert Goodell, and brother, Tim Goodell. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 11:00 Friday, June 26, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Owasso with Pastor Dean Tucker officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Griffin Paul, Todd Stewart, Hudson Pace, Harrison Pace, Trey Taylor, and Michael Miller. Honorary casket bearers will be Jesse Paul and Jules Patrick Paul. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma.
