Raymond Dale Cranmer

Raymond Dale Cranmer was born May 8, 1926 in Wakita, Oklahoma to Samuel Flemmy Cranmer and Ruthie Belle (Bebout) Cranmer. He passed from this life Saturday, March 17, 2018, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 91 years. Dale was raised and educated in Wakita, Oklahoma and graduated with the Gore High School Class of 1944. He was married May 27, 1947 to Margaret Evelyn (Mills) Cranmer. After Margaret passed on October 5, 1985, Dale later remarried to Bernadine (Utterback) Cranmer. He spent most of his working life as a supervisor for Hughes Aircraft, being employed there for over 30 years. Dale was a man of faith and attended St. Norbert Catholic Church in Orange, California most of his life. He was an avid farmer when he was younger and moved to Caldwell, Kansas 26 years ago so he could revisit his passion for farming. It was in Caldwell where he met and married Bernadine on August 13, 1994. Then, in 2008 they moved to Owasso, and began attending St. Henry Catholic Church. Dale enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as farming, golfing, collecting donkeys, working on old cars, and coaching little league baseball. Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include: His Wife; Bernadine Cranmer, of Owasso 4 Children; Mary Cranmer and Jack Pellett of Orange, California Cindy Sorber and husband Gary, of Mulvane, Kansas Ray Cranmer and wife Sheri, of Moreno Valley, California Mark Cranmer and wife Pamela, of Corona, California 3 Step Children; Bryan Utterback and wife Bonnie, of Foley, Alabama Glynda McClure and husband John, of Tulsa, Oklahoma Brent Utterback, of Tulsa, Oklahoma 16 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren 1 Brother; Bert Cranmer, of Farmersville, Texas He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Ruthie, first wife, Margaret, 4 brothers, Ed, Ernie, Ira, and Russell, and 2 sisters, Ruth and Ruby. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with a Rosary starting at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso with Father Matt La Chance officiating. Interment will be held later at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Orange, California. The Family requests memorial contributions be made to The Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), 505 South Main Street, Suite 800, Orange CA 92868. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
