Ronald Hugh Dudley

Ronald Hugh Dudley, age 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on August 27, 1942, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Alfred Jackson Dudley and Mary Mae Fish Dudley, Ron lived a life full of love, adventure, and dedication to his family. Ron was raised in Bowlegs, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1960. He went on to earn an associate’s degree in mechanical engineering, a testament to his curiosity and intellect. It was in Bowlegs, that he meet his high school sweetheart, Donna Wilborn, that Ron found his partner for life. The two were married on August 27, 1960, and enjoyed over 65 years together, building a legacy of love, support, and mutual respect. Professionally, Ron spent the majority of his career as a field service manager with Occidental Petroleum in Tulsa. His work was marked by dedication and excellence, but it was in his personal life that his true passions came to life. Ron’s love for NHRA drag racing was well known—he was not only a fan of the sport but also a talented driver of dragsters and top fuel funny cars. His enthusiasm for the races was matched only by his fervent loyalty to the Oklahoma Sooners, a team he supported with unwavering pride throughout his life. Above all, Ron’s greatest joy came from his family. He cherished his wife Donna, his two daughters, Connie Miller and husband Brad of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Christine Adams and husband Lawson of Owasso, Oklahoma. His grandchildren, Lance Miller of Tulsa, Garrett Miller and wife Katie of Nowata, Oklahoma, and Megan Vulgamore and husband Jesse of Collinsville, Oklahoma, were the lights of his life. Ron was also blessed with great-grandchildren—Peyton Miller, Sage Adams, Paxton Miller, Parker Vulgamore, Paizlee Vulgamore, Karsyn Miller, and Preslee Miller—whose laughter and love brought him immeasurable joy. Ron is also survived by extended family, including Jerry and Jan Wilborn of Bethany, Oklahoma, Jim Plott of Seminole, Oklahoma, and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom hold precious memories of his kindness and sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Mary Dudley; his in-laws, Clarence and Ola Mae Wilborn; his sister, Shirley Plott; and his twin grandsons, Blake and Brandon Miller. Ronald’s life was a testament to love, hard work, and the importance of family. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso.
