Walter Richey

Walter Lee Richey was born October 22, 1958, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Coy Jerry Richey and Shirley Ann Westbrook Richey. He died Monday, November 13, 2023, in Watova, Oklahoma, at the age of 65 years. Walter completed his secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1976. He spent most of his working as a glass specialist with Solar Auto Glass, Sunbelt Glass, and most recently with Tristar Auto Glass in Tulsa. He was married November 27, 1996, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Pamela Lund. Walter was a faithful member of Rejoice Free Will Baptist Church in Owasso. He was also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Walter enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially spending time out on the water boating and skiing. He particularly enjoyed his time piloting his powered parachute. Most important in his life was spending time with his beloved family. Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include: His wife; Pam Children; Mindy Campbell and her fiancé Tim McWhirt David Richey and wife Vanessa Bridgette Stephens and husband Justin Jamie Jackson and husband Ty Chris Richey Monica Richey Marisa Richey Grandchildren; Sarah Campbell Jessica Cinkowsky and husband Collin Jason Campbell and wife Isabella Carissa Campbell, TJ and Mallory McWhirt, Kaitlyn Richey, Miles Richey, Mason Bickle, Byar Stephens, Brooklyn Stephens, Brinley Jackson, Rowen Hull, Raegan Hull, and Dax Jackson Great grandson; Michael Cinkowsky Brother; Randy Richey and wife Beth Sister; Jeanene Aguirre and husband Ryan He was preceded in death by his father, Coy Richey, and grandparents, Cora and Walter Richey. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. There will be a visitation time one hour prior to the service. Final resting place will be at Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
