Bobby L. Shoun

December 26, 1932 - June 14, 2021

Bobby L. Shoun was born on December 26, 1932 in Dewar, Oklahoma to Link Fredrick Shoun and Bertha Louise (Hale) Shoun. He passed from this life on Monday, June 14, 2021 at his home in Owasso, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years. Bobby was raised and educated in Dewar and attended Dewar High School. With only a couple months left to complete his senior year, he enlisted and served his country honorably in the United States Army. After returning home, Dewar High School allowed him to go ahead and graduate with his diploma on February 19, 1951. Bobby spent most of his working life as a general foreman with U.S. Steel in Los Angeles, California for 32 years. He was married on November 21, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Julene Mae (Benton) Shoun. Bobby was a proud member of the American Legion Post in Tulsa for several years, before moving his membership to the American Legion Post in Skiatook. He enjoyed a variety of past times such as traveling in his RV, fishing, playing golf. Those he leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include: His Wife; Julene Shoun 2 Daughters; Patti Kujah Diana Brady 9 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren Brother; Jack Shoun and wife Rita He was preceded in death by his parents, Link and Bertha, sister, Phyliss, and 2 daughters, Judy and Kathy. Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso.
