Susan E. Foster

Susan Elaine (Fisher) Foster was born on March 12, 1948 (and Susan would note, “in the previous century”) in Newcastle, Indiana to Edward Elsworth Fisher and Sarepta Juanita (Lambert) Fisher. She died on Friday, October 23, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 72 years. Susan was raised and educated in Elyria, Ohio and graduated with the Elyria High School Class of 1966. She then went on to further her educaSon and aTended classes at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Susan was married in Elyria, Ohio on April 21, 1979 to Gordon Lee Foster. She spent most of her working life as a recepSonist with L3Harris Aeromet in Tulsa, Oklahoma for over 20 years. Susan was a faithful member of Tulsa Wesleyan Church for just over 36 years and was acSve in the music ministry playing the piano and organ. Susan also taught Sunday School, led children’s ministry, and was a member of the Local Board of AdministraSon for several years. She enjoyed a variety of past Smes such as volunteering to read at local elementary schools, working on the local elecSon board, and reading her Bible, but most of all she loved spending Sme with her family, with holiday Sme being her favorite to make Candy Cane cookies with the nieces and nephews. Susan is survived by: Husband: Gordon Foster, of Tulsa Brother: Tim Fisher and wife Marcia, of Grove Nieces and Nephews: James Fisher, Jr. Jennifer Victorino Sarah Fisher Vanessa MarSn and husband Derrick Melissa Clark and husband Brad Melanie Fullingim and husband Jeremy Ben Fisher Great Nieces and Nephews: Emily and Alexis Victorino Jacob Fisher Brookelyn and Zachary Stout Dominic, Teagen, and Kalla Peters Maryna and GarreT Clark Samara, Kellan, Moses, Jacee, Dawson, Mikaya, Ronen, and Booker Fullingim Susan was preceded in death by her sister, Jane Ellen Fisher, her parents, Edward Elsworth and Sarepta Fisher, and her brother, James Frederick Fisher. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Mark Mueller officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Bixby Cemetery in Bixby, Oklahoma.
