Audrey Linwood Folsom

Audrey Linwood Folsom was born July 14, 1936, in Brockton, Massachusetts, to Phillip Alden Meserve and Irene Lillian Stahl Meserve. She died Monday, March 13, 2023, in Collinsville, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. Audrey was married July 8, 1956, in Whitman, Massachusetts, to Ronald Folsom. In her early years, Audrey worked at a shoe factory in Massachusetts. She and Ron moved to Oklahoma where she worked at the nursing home in Collinsville. She was also a homemaker and cared for her family. Audrey was a strong woman of faith and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Claremore. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including knitting and reading, but mostly taking care of others any way she could. Those she leaves behind who hold many cherished memories include: Her husband of over 66 years; Ronald, of the home Son; Kevin Folsom and wife Lillian, of Beeville, Texas Grandchildren; Devon Hahn and husband Jason, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma Michael Folsom and wife DeAnna, of Meridian, Idaho Sarah Folsom and Mark Wiginton, of Corpus Christi, Texas Briana Walker and husband Nick, of Groesbeck, Texas Marisa Folsom, of Beeville, Texas Gabrielle Tabb and husband Preston, of Lufkin, Texas Jennifer Ballard, of Beeville, Texas Great granddaughter; Scarlett Hahn and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren Sister; Sharon Whipple and husband Edgar, of Union Mills, North Carolina She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Janet Flavel and Marilyn Clarkson, brother, Bob Meserve, daughter, Marian Holland, and granddaughter, Christy Michelle. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service for family and close friends will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Tim McHugh and Pastor Mike Sharpe officiating. Committal service and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. A Celebration of Life service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Claremore, Oklahoma at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Audrey’s memory to the Children's Center at First United Methodist Church, 1615 North Highway 88, Claremore, Oklahoma, 74017.
