David Alan Kannady

' David Alan Kannady, resident of Owasso, passed from this life on Thursday, May 28, 2015, at the age of 53. David was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on October 13, 1961, to B.F. and Barbara (Dedmon) Kannady. He was raised and received his education in Tulsa, graduating from East Central High School in 1980. David was accepted into the Firefighters Training Class; and upon completion of the training, he joined the Tulsa Fire Department. On June 23, 1984, he and Connie J. Cowdrey were united in marriage in Tulsa. David was a member of the Community Baptist Church of Tulsa and Firefighters Local # 176. In his spare time, David enjoyed hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and going to auctions. Those that survive and hold cherished memories are his wife Connie of the home;two sons Jacob Kannady and wife Jessica and their son Hagen Matthew of Owasso and Taylor Kannady and Kalee Hale of Owasso; his parents B.F. and Barbara Kannady of Tulsa; sister Pam Kannady of Tulsa; brother Mitch and wife Melissa Kannady and their children Makinze, Lane & Keelie all of Coweta; brother in law Bobby and wife LeAnn Cowdrey and their daughter Afton; and great niece CheyLynne Cowdrey. There are also an overabundance of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and adopted children. Visitation for David was from 4:00 p.m. â€“ 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 1, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service, Owasso. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in the chapel of Mowery Funeral Service with Dallas Weaver officiating. Serving as casket bearers were Matt Meeker, Allen Hale, Cody Hearst, Logan Pruitt, Justin Gill, Ryan Baswell, Jeremy Adams and Gage Dykes. Honorary casket bearers were Mike Inman, Jackie Crase, Todd Hagemann, Tom Ryan, Vince Drumright and Brian Meeker. Burial followed at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, Owasso.
