Jeanette Ellen McKisick

Jeanette Ellen McKisick, 89, went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 3, 2022. Jeanette was born to Earl Ray and Inez Irene (Milks) Pickerill on October 5, 1932. At a very young age, Jeanette lost her mother and was cared for and later adopted by her Aunt and Uncle, Max and Irma Milks of Parsons, Kansas. Jeanette graduated from Parsons High School and then attended Life Bible College in Los Angeles, California where she met Joe Robert McKisick of Big Cabin, Oklahoma. On July 20, 1952, Joe and Jeanette were married in Parsons, Kansas. During her life, Jeanette was active in the Foursquare Church organization. She and Joe helped start and support local churches all over the Tulsa area. She dedicated her time to teaching Sunday School and inspired many with her unwavering faith. Jeanette was also the backbone of the family drilling business, taking care of the books and scheduling. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, family reunions, and traveling to see her siblings. Jeanette was giving, welcoming, and found good in everyone. She was deeply loved and admired by her four sons, Randy, Kendall, Brad, and Danny, her nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Jeanette is survived by her son Randal Joe McKisick and wife Michelle of Catoosa; son Kendall Allen McKisick and wife Sandra of Claremore; son Bradley Dean McKisick and fiancée Martha Magee of Catoosa; and son Daniel Max McKisick and wife Mary of Catoosa. Surviving grandchildren include Charity Swindell (husband Charles Swindell); Tamra Baccus; Jarrod McKisick (wife Joanne); Kendra Lombardi (husband Nick Lombardi); Bradley Joe McKisick (wife Elizabeth); Taylor McKisick; Brandon McKisick (wife Lexi); Rachel McKisick; and Megan McKisick, along with four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by five of her siblings – Don Pickerill and wife Maureen of California; Delores “Dee” Heilman of Kansas; Jerry Pickerill of Texas; Judy French and husband Dick of Kansas; and Paul Pickerill of Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe McKisick, and three siblings, Max Earl Pickerill, Sally McGregor, and Grace Bolinger. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 7th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mowery Funeral Service, 9110 North Garnett Road, Owasso, OK. A service of remembrance will be held at Mowery Funeral Service Chapel on Wednesday, June 8, at 10:30 am with Pastor John Arthur officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Jarrod McKisick, Bradley McKisick, Brandon McKisick, Chuck Swindell, and Mike McGregor. Interment will follow at Oakhaven Memorial Gardens, 801 S Normal Ave, Claremore, Oklahoma.
