Troy Money

'Harvey Troy Money, longtime resident of Owasso, was born May 13, 1930, in Matoy, Oklahoma, to Jesse Prather and Clara Rowena (Scalf) Money. He died Sunday, May 3, 2015, in Owasso at the age of 84 years. Troy completed his high school education then later was married February 8, 1952, in Bryan County, Oklahoma, to Neva Simmons. He spent most of his working life as a general operator with Public Service Company of Oklahoma. Troy enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially baseball and horseracing. He coached little league baseball for many years and his Babe Ruth baseball team won the World Series in 1963. He loved working and training horses and being around the track. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Red Weant, Jimmy Lavendusky, Tommy McLaughlin, Doug Money, Justin Williams, and Kyle Fugate. Honorary pall bearers will be Coy Money, Luke Campbell, and Ralph Bell. Committal services and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso.
