Virginia Jast Longshore

Virginia J. Longshore was born on March 24, 1951, in Joliet, Illinois to Frank Anthony Jast and Mary Gertrude (Wilhelmi) Jast. She passed from this life on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years. Virginia was married on October 9, 1971, to Steve Longshore at St. Jude’s Catholic Church in New Lenox, IL. They had dated since they were 15 years old and graduated with the Lincoln Way High School Class of 1969, in New Lenox, Illinois. They were married 37 years before his passing in 2009. Virginia and Steve moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1975 and made their home in Collinsville, Oklahoma in 1979. Throughout their marriage, they were active in bowling leagues, competitive country dancing and traveling with friends and family. Virginia stayed home to raise her children before embarking on her career as a Realtor & then within the Title industry. She worked for Stepping Stone Realty and John Hausam for 10 years. She then worked in the Title industry for First Title and Abstract of Tulsa for 25 years and retired from Elite Title of Owasso in 2019. Virginia was a longtime faithful member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Owasso where she enjoying volunteering and serving in the Divine Mercy prayer group and the Seven Sisters of the Apostolate group. In her spare time, she enjoyed a variety of past times such as traveling and taking road trips with friends, yoga at Jeanne Doss’ studio, and staying involved in her church, but her greatest joy was being a grandma and a great grandma. She is survived by: Her Children; Jason Longshore Jessica Longshore and husband Brandon Joshua Longshore and wife Heather Grandchildren; Issac Longshore, Avery Coombs (husband Jared Coombs) and Gaige Longshore Great Grandchildren; Josey Coombs and Noah Coombs She will be greatly missed by her sisters Karen Olson, Carol Tatum and brothers Raymond (Mary Liz) Jast & John (Julie) Jast, special godchildren Jerilyn Yost & Jake Been, and by nieces and nephews who she loved very much. She will be especially missed by niece and nephew, Rachel Olson-Nelson and Michael Olson, who held a special place in Aunt Ginger’s heart. She will also be very missed by long time best friends Debbie Condella, Carol Hines, Doris Head, Jan Griffith, Vickie Bargas, Kandie Fairchild, Gina Vickers, Carla Miller, Karen Burnette, Susi Pate, Jodi Bolascke, Kim Plunkett, Kim Walls, Pat Moree, Linda Pacula, Audrey & Joe Engles, Malinda Troxell, Dianne Edwards, Joann Dean, & Mary Pat Barnes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Jast, husband, Steve Longshore, sister, Marianne Been, and her brother, Paul Jast. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Henry Catholic Church.
