Leonard Pirtle Funeral Assistant and Staff Pastor
Leonard, "Lenny" to many, is a Tulsa Native and a graduate of the Tulsa Central Class of 1966. While a student at Welch College in Nashville, Tennessee, he met and married Carolyn (Bullard) Pirtle with whom they celebrated their Golden Anniversary in June of 2018. After a brief, but wonderful ministry in southern Georgia, they arrived in Owasso in early January of 1973 and began a 44 year ministry at Rejoice Church. After stepping down from pastoral ministry, the Pirtle's now reside in rural Creek County. During his time at Rejoice, the relocation of the church and the starting of Rejoice Christian School were highlights. Now, along with supply and interim preaching, assisting Mowery Funeral Service rounds out his time (as much as a retired man would want). The most rewarding time is spent in playing with the grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and Carolyn were honored with being named Mr. and Mrs. Trail Days in 2009. The "Trails End" was a great place to live and raise our families!
